Keiner Enrique

Keiner, an 11- year-old with a special dream, he imagines if he had a superpower he would use it to boost his dad's food stall sales. With nightly dedication, he takes on the responsibility of cleaning and organizing the utensils. In his Construyendo Futuros drawing of an ideal world, Keiner emphasizes hearts and houses, symbolizing the importance of love and family. His artwork also features a prominent sun with clouds, which is a daily sight on his way to school.

With strong skills in mathematics, Keiner, empowered by Mi Proyecto de Vida programs, aspires to study mechanical engineering in college. In Monte Colón, Caracas, Construyendo Futuros shapes opportunities for Keiner and numerous children, fostering a brighter future.

Charlotte Villalobos

Charlotte is an 8- year-old girl with autism spectrum disorder, residing in Antimano, a neighborhood in Caracas. When we asked Charlotte to draw her ideal word, the paper is filled with colors dreaming of a violence- free world. Her home is on the heights of the mountain, offering a view of the sky and the entire city of Caracas. She is passionate about a world where neither animals nor humans suffer or experience violence, which is why she depicts herself and her family happily in a zoo.

Construyendo Futuros trains children like Charlotte in comprehensive sexual education to prevent violence and child sexual abuse through the Quiero Saber program. These initiatives contribute to building a secure future for children in Venezuela.

Samantha Mendez

Samantha Méndez, affectionately known as "Samy," initially aspired to be an astronaut but, at the age of nine, discovered her dream of becoming a veterinarian through Construyendo Futuros' "Mi Proyecto de Vida" program. Her vision of an ideal world involves safeguarding children from abuse and emphasizing the importance of creating a secure environment to break the cycle of mistreatment. In the Antímano neighborhood of Caracas, Construyendo Futuros equips Samantha and other children with tools to prevent child sexual abuse by teaching them the proper names for private body parts, promoting consent, and identifying trusted adults. With her drawings, Samantha envisions a world free from violence and child abuse, highlighting the crucial steps toward constructing futures filled with opportunities in Venezuela.

Betania Ayala

"My dreams are coming true! I never thought I would reach 6th grade with such great grades! I only have A’s!” exclaimed 12- year-old Betania Ayala, a participant in Construyendo Futuros' Mi Proyecto de Vida program.

Betania dreams of a world without wars and where animals are not abandoned on the streets. For Betania, drawing is a way to express her thoughts to the world. She calls for taking care of the planet since it is the place where we all live. She actively participates in cleanup efforts to protect the environment and urges everyone to care for the planet, emphasizing that it's the home we all share.

Luana García

Luana García, a 5- year-old, envisions an ideal world without garbage on the streets, depicted in her colorful drawing for Construyendo Futuros. Through the program's spaces, she has learned to embody values like determination and respect. Luana delights in bringing joy to her mom with jokes, kisses, and laughter during word pronunciation practice. Despite her young age, Luana encourages other kids to draw their dreams and to treat their moms with affection and respect.
